Meet Topaz!

Hello, I’m Topaz, a 10 year old girl looking for a new home to start the next chapter of my life, as my family are unfortunately no longer able to look after me.

I’m a very friendly girl who will happily greet you with a meow as soon as I see you. I’m always very interested in what is going on around me, so I’ll often follow you around to see what you are doing, I’ll even offer you a helping paw. As a slightly older lady, I’m very sure of my likes and dislikes and I’m not afraid to tell you, so it’s important that my owners listen to me and read my body language to understand how I’m feeling. I like to have slow, gentle strokes on the head but this needs to be on my own terms, otherwise I feel quite overwhelmed.

I’m still quite a playful cat and I especially like toys with catnip in them, it gets me all excited so I will roll around on the floor purring and looking very adorable. I also enjoy watching videos of birds so once I’m home I’m planning to spend a lot of time curled up on the sofa in front of the TV, or perched on the windowsill watching the world go by. I like to go outside to explore and lounge in the sun, so my new home will need access to a garden. I’m not a fan of other cats or dogs, so I would like to be the only pet in the home and it is best that I only live with adults or teenagers as my mood can change quite quickly when I decide I’ve had enough of being stroked, and children may find this difficult to predict.
