Meet Bubba!

Oh hi there, I’m Bubba and I’m looking for some love, can we be friends? Life’s been a little weird for me lately, my owner got poorly so I had to come to NAWT, it was all quite scary and confusing, but thanks to the amazing people I’ve met here, I’ve really started becoming more confident and they said that if I tell you all about myself then you’ll fall in love with me and become my new family.

I’m a silly boy who loves to play, I get very excited when I find a box of toys and I make sure I test them all before picking my favourite and waiting for the humans to throw it for me, although sometimes I think they’ve already thrown it and I run to find it when it’s not even there... doh! I dream of starting a new career as a champion swimmer, so when I am in the paddocks I like to jump into the paddling pool and do a little splish splash spin, then I hop out and roll around in the grass to dry off, it’s so much fun I could do it alllll day.

I’m quite a sensitive soul and sometimes I find things quite overwhelming and get nervous. My sense of safety comes from the incredibly strong bonds I form with my favourite people, so it’s really important that my family are able to be home with me all the time to help reassure me. I’m also a very strong boy, although I am working hard on my training to walk nicely on the lead, it’s best I live with people who are able to handle my size and strength. With a little more training and encouragement I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it. I’d like to have a garden to play in, and I want to be the only dog in the home, but I have lived with cats before, so if you have a very calm, dog-savvy cat then maybe we could become friends.
