Meet Raina!

Hello, I'm Raina, a 4 year old Norwegian Forest Cat, looking for a new home.

I'll be honest, I've not been feeling in the best state of mind recently. You see, for the last four years I have lived in the same house with the same people and it was great. I would be stroked and have my belly rubbed, I would curl up on the human's laps and fall asleep, I always had my favourite spot on the bed to sit on and I always knew what was going on at home because I was used to our routine. But in the last two weeks, I have sadly had to leave my old home and bid farewell to the family I knew. Now I am in the cattery and it's all so different, I'm really struggling to cope with it, I'm desperate to get out of here as soon as possible so I can establish a new routine in my new home and hopefully, start feeling more like my old self again.

Right now, all the change is just a bit too much for me and I'm too unsettled to be able to relax and trust people, even though deep down I think I would like to be friends. I'm not the type to hide away, I like staying out in the open and observing everything happening around me so that I can get a sense of who everyone is. I really do want to be brave and spend time with people, it's just a bit too overwhelming at the moment so I'll need you to take it nice and slow and progress at my pace to help me feel safe.

I would like to be the only pet in my new home, so I have plenty of time and space to settle in. I wouldn't mind living with calm, sensible children as long as they understand when to give me some time to myself and I would quite like to have a garden to explore once I am settle in.
