Meet Piper!

Hello, I’m Piper, a retired racing Greyhound who is looking for a new home.

I’m a lovely girl who enjoys gentle walks, doing zoomies in the garden and snuggling up in a blanket on the sofa. I can be quite shy when I first meet people and I am weary of new environments but something that really helps my confidence is being around other dogs. If I see my Greyhound friends relaxing and playing, it makes me realise that we are safe and that it is ok for me to drop my guard and join in the fun. I hope my new owner will understand my worries and help me overcome them at my own pace, without expecting too much from me too soon. ’m an ex-racer so the home environment will be completely new to me and my owner will need to be home all of the time to help me adjust to my new surroundings.

I’m looking for a home with a nice garden for me to run around in. Any children in my family will need to be old enough to understand my body language and know when to give me space. I would really like to live with another dog who is of similar size to me, but I can’t like with cats because I would want to chase them.
