Meet Suzie!

Hi friends!! My name is Suzie and I'm on the lookout for my fun, forever home. As you may be able to tell by my photos, I am a big beautiful girl so I'm looking for humans who love and know us large breeds. To match my big paws, I have a larger than life personality and a big heart full of love to give to some lucky people!

I am such a softie when it comes to my friends. I form strong, trusting bonds and I never forget a friendly face. There is nothing I love in this world more than having cuddles with my best friends! I love to flop my big ole paw in front of you to ask for fusses or I'll lay at your feet in the hope of belly rubs. I greet my pals with a big waggy tail and a play bow too! I am a bit of a cuddle bug and a sofa bear- I love to occupy that seat on the sofa next to my favourite people and enjoy having a well-deserved snooze in front of the TV. When I first arrived, I had a shy, sensitive side but since life has been fun and everyone has been loving to me, I'm so much braver now and making new friends by the day!

So, aside from cuddles, what else do I like? Well, I'm not overly playful with my toys- I sometimes have a little play but I just don't really know what toys are for half the time. I do love though sitting down with one of my chew bones and getting my pearly whites stuck into them. I'm not a massive foodie but sometimes certain treats get me all giddy and excited! I do love going out on my walkies- I can mostly walk nicely however I am a big strong girl and can sometimes be eager to get to all the good sniffs. Walks for me look best when they're in rural locations in the countryside where there's lots to sniff and explore as I can find walking the same route or round the block not my cup of tea as I start to focus on other things rather than my walk. I like to say hello to other doggy friends and find it quite sad and frustrating if one doesn't want to be my friend- so I do need a little help out on walks learning that not everyone can be a potential play mate.

Behind my adorable fluffy exterior is a bit of a cheeky monkey- after all, I'm only a youngster! I have a cheeky glint in my eye and need stimulation to keep my brain busy or else I may find my own entertainment. I do often have the team here laughing with my antics and I know I'll bring so much joy to your life too! But ultimately I am a teenager and I like to get up to mischief if I can. Really, I'm looking for someone with large breed experience who can help guide these big paws to be the bestest girl I know I can be. I'll need somewhere with a large, secure garden for me to mooch about it and will be best suited to more rurally located homes with lots of nearby countryside walkies. I find cats simply far too tempting to chase so I'm, not looking to share my home with any. However, I do think that living with another well-matched pooch may help me in lots of way...mostly they'd be a best pal but hopefully they'd also be a great role model for me! If I was to live with another dog, they'd need to be well-matched and we'd need to see how we got along here at the Centre first. I'm not looking to share my home with any children and will need my home alone time built up slowly as once we're friends I don't really like to be apart from you!
