Meet Benji !

Hi there, my name is Benji, and I'm looking for a new home since my owner has sadly passed away.
I am a male crossbreed who is 10 years old.
I am a really lovely boy who just needs that special person to fall in love with me and at the moment I'm getting overlooked. I am a bit of a slow burner and will need a home where there wont be lots of visitors. Once I know all is well I really come out of my shell and am great fun and a pleasure to have around. The team here have started muzzle training me in case I need to meet strangers such as the vet but I just need people to be very patient and take their time with me. Once I have built up trust I will make someone a brilliant friend, and I very much enjoy a fuss and love from my favourite person.
I am great to walk on the lead and have good recall. I also know sit, down and paw, and love belly rubs! I play gently and like to chase after my toys but don't expect me to bring them back! I am well mannered out on my walks, great with traffic, and not bothered by other dogs at all, but do need to be the only pet in the home as I just prefer my own space. I have been in the same home for the last 10 years and used to a slower pace of life so am looking for a quieter adult only household where I can enjoy the sunshine and sleep - sleeping is one of my favourite things! I travel well in the car and can be left for short periods and am impeccably clean here in my kennel.
I really hope there is a special person out there just for me who accepts me and my quirks, in return I could be a great best buddy x
