Meet Patch!

Hello, I’m Patch, I’m 10-years-old and I’m looking for a new home to live out my senior years as my owner sadly passed away.

I’m looking for someone who will be my new best friend and spend lots of time with me, really get to know me and always be there to give me the love and attention I deserve. I just hate being lonely, don’t you? Well we can keep each other company as I’ll happily follow you around the house, staying close by so we’ll never be lonely again!

The team here have told me that I need to exercise more and they have put me on a new diet to help me lose a bit of weight. I’ve even been practicing agility training .... well, sort of, I can walk up the ramp at least! Maybe you could show me how to chase a ball, or take me on a nice walk to help me? You’re never too old to learn a new trick and I learn things very quickly as I’m a clever boy and I’m very eager to earn a tasty treat as a reward, although, maybe that’s why I need the exercise!

Although I love spending time with people, I’m not really one for lots of cuddles or formal handling, so it’s important that my owner understands how to give me the affection I need in a way that won’t make me feel worried or stressed. I need someone who will be patient with me and go at my pace so I feel comfortable. My carers here will give you lots of tips and tricks on how to build a strong friendship with me. I would like to live in a quiet home with no children or other pets and it would be great if there was a garden for me to access.
