You can make a difference – Become a Trustee

The National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) wishes to appoint additional Trustees to its Board to support and assist the organisation to help as many UK pets as possible by providing the appropriate service to pet owners, whatever their circumstances, to ensure a safe and secure future for their pets.

We are keen to encourage applications from people representing the communities where we work – Berkshire, Cornwall, Essex, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. This is not a pre-requisite, but the successful applicant will need to be able to attend our Trustee meetings which are held quarterly (in person), near our Head Office on the outskirts of Watford.

We are particularly interested to hear from individuals with experience in Property & Estate Management or with a Legal background who can give freely of their time.  You will have a commitment to animal welfare, will complement the skills and talents of the existing Trustees, will think strategically, work collaboratively and be able to make a significant contribution. Plenty of training and support will be given and whatever your background, you will bring a different perspective to the board which will be invaluable.

The Trust has a turnover in excess of £3.5 million per annum, employs over a 110 staff at five rescue and re-homing centres and has an active supporter and volunteer base.

Please convey your interest in this role, together with a CV, by writing to Rob Mitchell, Chief Executive, NAWT Head Office, Tylers Way, Watford-by-Pass, Watford, Hertfordshire, WD25 8WT, or by e-mail to r.mitchell@nawt.org.uk.  For an informal discussion please contact Rob on 07814 903278.

Closing Date – 23rd February 2025
